New Beck, M. Ward Tunes on ‘True Blood’ Soundtrack

M. Ward, Bob Dylan, and Stone Temple Pilots also contribute to HBO's new series.

It must be something extra special in their blood, because vampires are highly attracted to talented musicians.

First came the star-studded Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack. And now, here’s another blood-drenched gem:

Beck, M. Ward, Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams, and the Band’s Robbie Robertson all recorded new songs for the soundtrack to the second season of HBO’s True Blood. SPIN cover boys Stone Temple Pilots contributed an unreleased oldie, and the album also features classic jams from Bob Dylan, the 13th Floor Elevators, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, and Eels?.
