While the next American Idol won’t be revealed until tonight’s season finale (8 P.M., Fox), online fans have chosen graying 29-year-old Taylor Hicks as the victor. Judge Simon Cowell declared the winner after last night’s final round yet the final decision will not be decided until tonight. For this final round of Idol, 50-60 million votes are expected; that’s almost half the number of votes cast in the 2004 presidential election.
