New AC/DC Album to Be Sold Exclusively at Wal-Mart
The legendary rockers partner with the chain store to drop their follow up to 2000's Stiff Upper Lip.

Revered rockers AC/DC will join the ranks of Garth Brooks, the Eagles, and Journey by tapping superstore chain Wal-Mart to be the exclusive retailer for their forthcoming Brendan O'Brien-produced album, which, according to Billboard.com report [via The Wall Street Journal], is expected to drop sometime this fall.
But with the band's catalog entirely unavailable digitally (nada on iTunes), some are wondering if AC/DC is leaving out a chunk of its potential audience, particularly young adopters of the legendary band. What are your thoughts on AC/DC and Wal-Mart's exclusive partnership? Sound off in the comment section below.

that is horribly and utterly despicable. I shall be downloading that record illegally, just to spite them and that company which I cannot stand, let alone bear to name. it'll probably be a flop, anyhow, seeing as how they've sold out like this.
I really don't think it is that hard to go out to walmart to buy a cd, AC/DC has always been one of the greatest bands ever and is worth the trip. As for strokesjunkie stop being so lazy I think your "utterly despicable." I still can't believe you used that phrase.
Wally World will likely provide a good revenue stream for CD sales, given that the economy seems to be driving people to such places. It's just unfortunate that the band/agents signed a deal with the dregs of the retail world to market their product. It's like picking up your date from a run-down trailer park. Unless the new CD is available at the show, bootleg, or outside the confines of the big box, I won't be spending my money on AC/DC's latest.
Got something to say?
