The multi-platinum half-dollar says he's just waiting on slowpoke Dr. Dre to finish up.

50 Cent's long-delayed Before I Self Destruct finally has a release date after two years of delays, MTV News reports. The album, his fourth, drops September 29 and 50 says the wait was worth it.

"My album -- it's perfect," he told MTV. "I'm ready. I'm ready to put this album out. I really don't need adjustments."

He may be ready, but the album isn't just yet. For that, blame deadline-phobic producer Dr. Dre. "I need a few songs to be finished," 50 said. "Dre, he drags his feet. He's slow, but it's because he's so creative. He's gonna make sure it's perfect."

While he waits, 50 has been building anticipation by leaking three singles from the album and a series of free mixtapes. Forever King and the War Angel LP -- featuring the hilarious slow jam "I Do A Lot For You" -- have already been released online, and the rapper says more will follow.

"Sometimes I just want people to hear what I just did," he said. "I be like, 'This shit is hot, I want it out now. So I'mma just start giving it away.' "
