Hey This Is Awesome

Nelly Furtado Goes 'Crazy'

Check out her mellow version of Gnarls Barkley's smash hit.

During an airing of Jo Whiley's show on BBC Radio, Nelly Furtado sang a folksy, unplugged version of Gnarls Barkley's funky chart-topper, "Crazy." The live performance finds the Portuguese-Canadian songstress whimsically transforming Cee-Lo/Danger Mouse's electro-charged single about going mad into an airy ditty accompanied by only an acoustic guitar, delicate handclaps, and a buttery-voiced backup singer. Furtado's breathy croon evokes a melancholy yearning, making her version much less eccentric than the duo's original, but still just as soulful.
