The 2014 lineup for PBS' Austin City Limits concert series is off to a promising start. Today, we get a preview performance by Neko Case doing "Man," off of her excellent 2013 set The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You. Last week, we saw another member of SPIN's 2013 Best Albums tribe hit the same stage: Queens of the Stone Age played ...Like Clockwork track "Smooth Sailing."
Seen above, Case sings the hook: "And if I'm dipshit drunk on pink perfume / Then I am the man in the fucking moon / 'Cause you didn't know what a man was / Until I showwwwwwed you." As our own Rob Harvilla wrote in his review, "The thundering triumph of those last two words is how people singing along too exuberantly to the radio get into car accidents." Thankfully, this one will come to your TV. Case's full episode airs January 11.
