The National will kick off the new decade with a Spring tour of the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including headlining gigs at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall, and supporting the newly reunited Pavement in Paris.

The band’s North American dates coincide with the release of their as-yet-untitled new album, due in May via 4AD. It’s their first since 2007’s Boxer.

The U.S. tour kicks off with two shows in Richmond, VA, on April 22-23, and wraps June 16 with the aforementioned Radio City show.

Prior to the tour, the band will play the March 26-28 Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN. Guitarist Bryce Dessner is co-curating that festival, as well as the Music Now festival, taking place from March 30-April 1 in his hometown of Cincinnati, OH.
