MySpace, Declare Yourself Host Voter-Registration Drive

MySpace has partnered with national nonpartisan youth voting campaign Declare Yourself to encourage young Americans to register to vote. The ubiquitous social networking site will house an online voter registration drive in both English and Spanish and host information on the upcoming midterm elections. “We may not be electing a President this November, but important elections are happening in your state — with control of Congress, state legislatures, school boards, and more at stake,” a post on the site reads. “Whether you care about health care, job opportunities, student loans, the environment, national security, or Iraq — and whatever your positions on those issues may be, politicians need to hear from you.”
