Mykki Blanco is feeling fierce. The vogue-rap fire-starter went hard and heavy in last month's appropriately titled "Kingpinning" video, and she's back with another rugged heater. "Feeling Special" hails from the forthcoming Betty Rubble: The Initiation EP, due some time in March, and features production from San Francisco beat-damager Matrixxman. His score is minimal but powerful, sending Blanco's growled words spinning through a cavernous space of snaps, bloops, and drum hits. Our heroine takes some hilarious shots — "Who’s got the Summer’s Eve / I’m about to douche these bitches / make you a punchline in my joke / Lenny Bruce you, nigga" — all while sounding tougher than a slab of marble. With her game-changing Cosmic Angel mixtape in the recent rear view, it's safe to say expectations are high for this SPIN Breaking Out star. No disappointments here.
