The Zombie Apocalypse Sounds Like Muse at ‘World War Z’ London Premiere

muse, world war z premiere

Muse have a taste for dystopia. Even their cross-dressing dance parties take place in a gritty sci-fi future. So, naturally, when Paramount Pictures needed an arena rock band to play the London premiere of World War Z on June 2, the studio tapped The 2nd Law makers. Fan-shot footage from the gig — which happened at Horse Guards Parade — has since surfaced online, but Paramount recently shared a professional-quality clip of Muse blasting through “Knights of Cydonia,” the closing track off 2006’s Black Holes and Revelations. Watch the performance above.

Videos of the band playing “Supremacy,” “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Follow Me,” “Starlight,” “Madness,” “Uprising,” and “Time Is Running Out” are also available.

Two songs off The 2nd Law, “Isolated System” and 2012 Olympic Games theme “Survival,” appear in World War Z, which opens in the U.S. on June 21.
