Have $5,000 in disposable income? Great. Want to own a discarded, undoubtedly soiled piece of MTV Video Music Awards non-history? Even better. Today is your lucky day.
According to the Village Voice, a bodega adjacent to Brooklyn's Barclays Center is attempting to sell off rolls of the very same red carpet that was trod upon by such luminaries as Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and the ghosts of N'SYNC past. The owners of the Dubai Mini Mart have started the eBay bidding at $500 for the rugs, and thus far, no saps have put in for the auction. There's also a $5,000 "Buy It Now" option, so this hunk of useless crap could go at any second.
In case you're on the fence about making such a grossly pointless purchase, here's a photo of Cyrus on the carpet in front of the bodega, electric blue lettering glowing above her highly reflective skin. Keeping in mind how much she stuck her tongue out on Sunday night, there's probably a great chance that you can salvage some of her saliva from the fibers — especially if Robin Thicke was in the vicinity. Whether or not the thing was twerked upon is unknown.
