The third iteration of MTV’s stunt-focused O Music Awards in under two years went down yesterday. Over the whopping (totally live-streamed, with three cameras) 24 hours it took to get through the ceremony, which celebrated “the best of the Web” and took place on the tour bus that toted the Flaming Lips around the country on their Jay-Z-beating, Guinness record-breaking mini-tour, 23 main awards were doled out, including one which will probably be the only thing Frances Bean Cobain and her “biological mother” Courtney Love will ever share again, for Most Intense Social Spat, and one for Best Artist/Digital Entrepreneur, La Sera/Vivian Girls’ “Kickball” Katy Goodman. Other awards hilariously went to “recipients” like “Animated GIFs” (Best Vintage Revival) and Big Freedia’s “Big Booty Battle” video game (Too Much Ass for TV), not to mention SPIN’s favorite for Most Adorable Viral Star, “Bone Pugz.”

According to Viacom (via Billboard), over 43 million votes were cast this time around, doubling last year’s digital turnout.

In case you wondered how Gaga or Bieber didn’t get nominated for Must-Follow Artist on Twitter, the nominating committe included SPIN’s own Christopher R. Weingarten, Cheezburger’s Ben Huh, Turntable.fm’s Seth Goldstein, Billboard’s Katie Morse (who took Tatiana Simonian’s award last year, for Hottest Music NILF, a.k.a. Networker I’d Like to Friend), LiveNation’s Kyle Bylin, Echo Nest’s Jim Lucchese, Hypebot’s Clyde Smith, and Devo member-cum-video director Gerard Casale as “Music Awards Influencers.”
