Watch Mozes and the Firstborn Go Sightseeing for ‘Skinny Girl’ Video

Last month, SPIN shared Mozes and the Firstborn’s gnarled cover of the Velvet Underground’s “Lady Godiva’s Operation.” Now it’s time to highlight an original tune by the Dutch foursome. On February 11, Burger Records will release the garage-rock gang’s self-titled debut album on vinyl (a cassette version has already been floating around). But first comes the official video for “Skinny Girl,” a jangly strummer featured on the LP. A joint effort between the band and Jeroen Dankers, the clip catches frontman and founding member Melle Dielesen in a number of locations — the beach, a record store, the edge of Brooklyn — as he’s strumming his guitar and pledging to the titular “Skinny Girl” that she’s “worth every pound in gold.” Watch it above.
