Stop us if you think you’ve heard this one before. Morrissey has postponed more dates on his U.S. tour. Following reports that the former Smiths frontman had been hospitalized for a bleeding ulcer, Morrissey canceled and/or postponed several performances on his troubled North American excursion, and now two more shows have been pushed back: the February 9 gig in Las Vegas and the February 10 concert in Phoenix. The announcement came from Morrissey’s Facebook page:

Due to doctor’s orders, the upcoming engagements with MORRISSEY in Las Vegas on Sat Feb 9 and in Phoenix on Sun Feb 10 will need to be rescheduled. MORRISSEY is currently undergoing treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus. These shows are in the process of being rescheduled immediately and all patrons are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as the new dates will be announced within the coming days. MORRISSEY thanks everyone concerned for their well wishes during this time and hopes for a speedy recovery. The tour will resume as scheduled in El Paso at Tricky Falls on Feb 12.

So far, 11 stops on the tour have been called off, including shows in Flint, Michigan; Asheville, North Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; Lawrence, Kansas; Clear Lake, Iowa; and Lincoln, Nebraska.

It’s not all bad news for the Pope of Mope’s followers. Morrissey fan site True to You notes that a reissue of the crooner’s second solo album, 1991’s Kill Uncle, is due April 8 through Parlophone (who are also planning a reissue of David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane). The re-release features a reworked track listing that welcomes the addition of “Pashernate Love” and “East West” (a Herman’s Hermits cover), as well as a live in-studio version of “There’s a Place in Hell For Me and My Friends.” Kill Uncle‘s remaster will be available in gatefold CD and LP formats and will feature rare photos and a new cover that has not yet been revealed.

Also coming on April 8: three separate special edition releases of Moz’s essential 1989 single “Last of the Famous International Playboys.” The Bona Drag cut will be sold as a CD, a digital download, and a limited edition 7-inch picture disc. Each version will be paired with one of the three new songs Morrissey debuted on the BBC back in 2011. The CD comes with “Action Is My Middle Name,” the digital release is backed by “The Kid’s a Looker,” and the 7-inch picture disc features “People Are the Same Everywhere.”
