Moog Music isn’t wasting any time planning next year’s installment of Moogfest. The analog synth manufacturers revealed today (April 9) that the annual festival will return to Asheville, North Carolina in 2014 for a three-day showcase taking place from April 25 to 27.

Those springtime dates are much earlier in the year than past Moogfest events; last year‘s event took place on October 26 and 27. According to a press release, the scheduling adjustment will “allow for daytime programming in which the intersection of music and technology will be showcased against the backdrop of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.”

Moog Music — the company founded by recent National Inventors Hall of Fame inductee Robert Moog — also unveiled its new Moogfest logo and announced a new partnership with Paxahau, the Detroit-based producer of the Movement Electronic Music Festival and the Detroit Jazzfest.

Back in December, it was reported (via Consequence of Sound) that Moog Music’s then-partners AC Entertainment were rebranding Moogfest as Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit, an event booked in Asheville from October 25 to 27. Soon after, Moog Music clarified that while it was indeed parting ways with AC Entertainment, Moogfest 2013 would continue on in Asheville, independent of the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit.
