Das Racist Dudes Drop Dueling Videos for ‘Moneyball’ and ‘Desi Shoegaze Taiko’

Moneyball Kool A.D. Heems Desi Shoegaze Taiko Video 63 Nehru Jackets Das Racist

Former SPIN cover stars Das Racist may have called it quits in December, but Heems and Kool A.D. have been plenty busy since. The former made one of our Best Albums of 2012 with Nehru Jackets, an off-the-cuff confident Queens rap throwback that delivered some excellent grit and grime. Meanwhile, the man born Victor Vasquez released two free full-length mixtapes at the top of February, each named after Bay Area bus lines: 63 and 19.

And it just so happens that each has dropped a new music video today. Still, it’s a nice reminder of what we loved about Nehru Jackets.

Meanwhile, Kool has served up a colorful clip to 63‘s “Moneyball,” a gonzo-rap speedball that opens with a sample of Bizzy Bone speaking gibberish and ends with a halftime snippet of A.D. singing, “I’m an idiot.” In between, we see the man bathing in a tub full of flowers, wearing a luxurious robe-and-hat combo, and hanging out with a beautiful woman toting an AK and wearing military garb. It’s as noisy and funny and weird as you’d expect:
