Kanye West BFF Miley Cyrus Bawls in ‘Wrecking Ball’ Director’s Cut

Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, "Wrecking Ball," director's cut, video, weeping

Miley Cyrus once again crashes into everything like a — okay, okay. The Bangerz provocateur has shared a “director’s cut” of her Terry Richardson-directed video for “Wrecking Ball,” a ballad that currently sits astride the the Hot 100 like its nude singer atop a — okay, okay, okay. The director’s cut actually has no cuts, instead featuring one long take of Cyrus’ face as she weepingly lip-syncs the song. In its own way, the video is more naked — and definitely a lot less icky — than the leering original.

The “Wrecking Ball” belter is also colliding full-force (okay, already!) with Kanye West. Producer Mike Will Made It has already confirmed Cyrus hopped on a remix of West’s “Black Skinheads” immediately after her controversial appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. And now Cyrus’ upcoming Rolling Stone cover story is packed with choice quotes — from Cyrus, but still — further attesting to her bond with the Yeezus man. She recalls a pre-VMA chat with West: “He came in and goes, ‘There are not a lot of artists I believe in more than you right now. The whole room went quiet. I was like, ‘Yo – can you say that again?!'”

As West raps before holding his arms out like Christ on a cross in “Bound 2” live performances: “Jesus wept.” So much in common, these two. Uh-huh, honey.
