Miguel is hard at work on his third collection of auteurist R&B, but he's emerged today with a fresh video for his Girls track "Simple Things." Released back in February for the hit HBO show, that track was the same kind of smoky, slow-burner that made Kaleidoscope Dream the bewitching debut that it was. Miguel's self-directed clip for the track takes aim at the same sort of emotional centers with its striking black-and-white cinematography and constant slow motion. And aside from some ham-fisted symbolism involving a pair of wild dogs, it lands its otherwise effortlessly cool punches as well as its author lands a leg drop (sorry). You can watch that clip above.
