Atlanta chirp-rap trio Migos (though functionally a duo at the moment with member Offset in prison) are one of the big rap stories of 2013. Their mixtape Young Rich Niggas is one of the best rap full-lengths of the year and Drake's remix of their ascendant hit "Versace" has helped propel it onto the Billboard charts, quickly shooting them into the genre's upper stratosphere (a heady trip that SPIN chronicled last month). They're now looking to keep the momentum going with Streets on Lock a collaborative mixtape with homie Rich the Kid that you can download from Livemixtapes. Migos appear on 17 of the tape's 25 tracks with a mixture of songs and verses both old and new, though thankfully that scale tips far towards the latter.
Streets on Lock features "Remix," a new track with Twista that leaked last week, as well as contributions from frequent producer Zaytoven, Riff Raff, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates and Rich Homie Quan. What it does not feature is any of these 40 remixes of "Versace," which means that Migos really should give Frank Ocean a call once his vocal cords heal up.
