Metallica’s ‘Late Late Show’ Residency Comes to a ‘Sad But True’ Conclusion

Metallica Late Late Show Sad But True Ferguson Video

During Metallica’s weeklong residency on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, the Los Angeles thrash legends dug up a whole host of hits from across their nearly three decade career, and Friday night to close out their stay they ended with “Sad But True.” After tearing through “Enter Sandman,” “Fuel,” and “Hit the Lights,” it’s only fitting that the band offer up a little bit of the plodding stomp of this Black Album standout. And hey, it’s even better for the fact that (as Ferguson pointed out) this performance came in violation of a strange practice called No Music Day. You can watch video of the full performance up above.
