First, hit play on the clip above if you haven't yet had the pleasure of watching Leonardo DiCaprio, as the titular Wolf of Wall Street, performing Meshuggah's "Rational Gaze" to a room full of turnt-up stockbrokers. It's insane, and an incredible fit. So it's no wonder there's a petition going around to get the film star on stage with the Swedish metal extremists at the 2014 installment of Bonnaroo. The Change.org request was creeping on 3,000 signatures at press time.
The petition is addressed to the actor, the band, the festival, and President Barack Obama, and suggests that, "Leonardo DiCaprio needs to fully embrace his newly found importance in the metal scene by joining Meshuggah on stage for at least one song. He must wear a suit, and everyone in the crowd must pound their chests just like in the video. Leonardo DiCaprio will gain even more fans. Meshuggah will, too ... The band is already playing, so all he needs to do is show up."
And really, is that too much to ask with the Tennessee fest's stacked lineup? Kanye West, Elton John, Frank Ocean, Jack White, Skrillex, and a long, long list of other exciting artists are booked for the June event.
