Despite receiving, um, less than favorable reviews from a few select foodstuff critics, Marilyn Manson's brand of absinthe, Mansinthe, has won the gold medal in the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Wait, isn't absinthe illegal in the U.S.?

While wifey-poo Gwen Stefani preps a new No Doubt record, squeezes out babies, and slangs goods under the L.A.M.B. imprint, hubby Gavin Rossdale, yes, the long lost "everything zen" dreamboat behind '90s rockers Bush, has apparently developed a serious case of musical WANDERlust. As the title of Rossdale's first-ever solo offering and first release since 2005's Institute album Distort Yourself, WANDERlust, slated to arrive June 3, reflects the rocker's "overwhelming desire to get out and play music." First single "Love Remains the Same" is available digitally now.

Wow! Just googled:

“Wormwood, when you distil it, makes this thing called thujone; it’s like the equivalent of THC in marijuana. I have a guy who sends it to me in a dropper.” Marilyn Manson

"Wait, isn't absinthe illegal in the U.S.?"

Yes. There is a version of absinthe but it has had the good stuff (thujone) removed. The real deal is "100mg thujone" but Mansinthe must be thujone free if it is in SF.
