Marilyn Manson Teases New Music in Dark Video

America’s scariest shock-rocker is back. In a new video on his snazzy looking new site, Marilyn Manson has posted a brief clip teasing new music, which may be featured on his long-in-the-works new album, due out later this year.

In an entry titled “I Am Among No One,” Manson released a :26 second clip of music that he calls an “an undisclosed song with an unreleased title.” It bodes well for whatever new material he’s working on: the song is a static-drenched blast of industrial-punk mayhem, with Manson shouting “I am among no one!” amid fuzzy, über-creepy visuals of himself.

(Of course, Manson also had some heady thoughts on this weekend’s purported apocalypse that never came to be, and in a poetic post titled “Rapeture,” he writes, “Brave Now World. Don’t believe what you read, especially if you are illiterate… We will not be cremated, we will cauterize our wounds. We never wanted our wings anyway.”)

As for Marilyn Manson’s new album, guitarist Twiggy Ramirez offered an early look at the record back in November, promising that their first disc since 2009’s The High End of Low would be a punk rock version of 1998’s Mechanical Animals. “It’s fantastic,” he said. “It’s our best record yet, I think. I mean, everyone always says that, but I think this is our best work by far.”
