Madonna Rocks MisShapes

Lady Madge is finally getting back to her gritty NYC roots: On Saturday night, Madonna did a surprise 30-minute DJ set at New York’s weekly MisShapes party, NME.com reports. Madonna doesn’t come without an entourage, and Saturday was no exception. She rocked the party with producer Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont of Les Rhythms Digitales), Maverick Records chairman Guy Oseary, remixer Junior Sanchez, her publicist Liz Rosenberg, and fellow superstar Lenny Kravitz. “You all have to relax and have fun and we’re going to play you some really good songs,” Madonna told the crowd before spinning tracks from her new record; Price provided assistance behind the decks.

Other celebs to have graced the MisShapes booth include Brandon Flowers, Franz Ferdinand, and Jarvis Cocker of Pulp (whose song gives the party its name).
