  • Bon Jovi producer John Shanks looks to be working with Van Halen on new music, he suggested in a recent Twitter post. “Here we go kids…VH,” Shanks Tweeted before posting a picture of Eddie Van Halen’s amp.

  • Sleigh BellsDerek Miller, Diplo, and Switch are looking to collaborate with Beyoncé on her next album, according to Diplo. “Me and Switch was in the studio in nyc tryin to make tracks with Derek and Beyoncé last week after we played her team their album,” he posted on his Mad Decent blog.   • British dance-rockers Friendly Fires will return this Spring with their second album Pala. “It sounds a lot more pretentious than it actually is,” singer Ed MacFarlane said. “It’s named after an island in an Aldous Huxley novel…on the island there are these parrots that are trained to whisper uplifting messages to the people on the island.” [BBC]
