Joey Massarueh and Michael Lasday are known as Dirty South Joe and Flufftronix respectively, but with their powers combined, they become Luvstep. That Philadelphia-based two-headed beast was born on a Valentine’s Day back in 2010, and emerges from whatever velvet-lined cave it calls home in February every year to unleash a new mix. The latest is Luvstep V: Sunrise / Sunset, a two-parter whose first hour, “Sunrise,” recently premiered on the “Diplo & Friends” BBC Radio 1Xtra show. “Sunset” makes up the second half, and the mix’s final 69 minutes (yes, “69” minutes) can be heard right here, right now.
