Yes, Lou Doillon comes from a family of accomplished artists and performers — she's the daughter of filmmaker Jacques Doillon and actress/singer Jane Birkin, which also makes her a half-sister to the multi-talented Charlotte Gainsbourg. But the 30-year-old singer-songwriter cut her own path with Places, a smoky folk debut that landed in the U.S. last month.

Doillon's promoting her first album with the a sweet video for "Questions and Answers." The clip follows the French chanteuse as she travels the road, moving from gig to gig and killing time by drawing, walking on the beach, and rehearsing with her bandmates. It's a yellowed postcard set in motion, a heartwarming snapshot of Doillon's work ethic and dedication. Watch it above.
