Watch Lorde Run a Misfit Youth Society in 'Team' Video

New Zealand star shares a fantastical clip for 'Pure Heroine' highlight

Although Lorde's Pure Heroine isn't purely wonderful, the sumptuous chorus of "Team" makes that song an undeniable standout. The 17-year-old's third single continues some of the themes of her problematic megahit "Royals," but shifts the attention to a friendship that's "in ruins." The just-released video takes a fantastical and literal approach — specifically, the line "we live in cities you'll never see" — by placing the New Zealander amidst a colony of Lost Boys-style misfit youth.

For more from Lorde, revisit SPIN's interview with the rising star, catch her covering Sheryl Crow with Haim, read her lengthy birthday essay, and watch her do a wicked Ronnie James Dio impression at the age of 12.
