In late October, we first met Lord Echo, a New Zealand multi-instrumentalist and producer with an ear for deeply funky electronic hybrids. Back then, SPIN was proud to premiere "Molten Lava," an aptly-named soul-house heater featuring the vocals of Leila Adu. This time we've got "Digital Haircut," a wordless gem whose shuffling disco beat and reverberating synth blasts speak just fine on their own. Plus, the Navarro Stark-created video above brings plenty of visual backup — a gang of women culled from a wig catalog whose wild looks eventually take on a life of their own. Is that a bird? A plane? Nope. It's a levitating weave. No doubt this catalog can be found in Duck Sauce's demented "It's You" barbershop.

"Digital Haircut" hails from Curiosities, out now on Bastard Jazz.
