If anyone's capable of instilling the joyful holiday spirit it's Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, who recently told SPIN.com about his knack for penning "breakout" tunes that can lift even the deepest of depressions. Here, with a decidedly upbeat version of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," off the band's six-track holiday EP, released digitally today, he's up to his usual high jinks with sing alongs, feisty backing shouts, and searing guitar riffs.
