INTERVIEWSLISTEN: Panda Bear's Psychedelic New Songs

Noah "Panda Bear" Lennox's hotly anticipated full-length Tomboy won't be released until early next year, but two songs from the Animal Collective member -- "Alsatian Darn" and "You Can Count on Me" -- have leaked. Head here and here to stream the songs, respectively.

True to form, Lennox's latest tracks are gorgeous, psychedelic reveries. "Alsatian Darn" mixes staccato harpsichords and stutter-step beats underneath Lennox's multi-layered vocal melodies. "You Can't Count on Me" is even wilder, with ghostly vocal samples, booming drums and sparkling Afro-pop-style guitar riffs. Nice!
