LISTEN: New Nicki Minaj Song

“Right Thru Me,” the first single off sassy rapper Nicki Minaj’s debut Pink Friday (out Nov. 23), has leaked online — and the tough, sharp-tongued Queens native shows she has a vulnerable side. Listen below!

Over Euro synths and a slow R&B beat (which is far from the fierce mix tapes that put her on the map, but not unlike her currently blockbuster single “Your Love”), Minaj actually sings about a lover who isn’t buying her trickery and games.

“You see right through me / How do you do that shit?” she coos on the chorus, before hitting the verse and rapping, “You know when I’m laughin’ / When I’m cryin’ / It’s like you’ve got it down to a science.”

“[‘Right Thru Me’] will be a standout,” she told MTV of the track in August. “It’s a really, really pretty song. It’s just really insightful but in a very conversational kind of way.” In July, the Young Money MC, born Onika Maraj, told MTV, “When people hear the album, they’re going to get to know Onika. And no one knows Onika.”
