It’s finally here.

Three years after the release of their smash debut, Brooklyn’s MGMT are streaming their much-anticipated second album, Congratulations (out April 13), via their official website. Listen to all nine tracks here!

Don’t confuse this “official” leak with last week’s “unoffical” one. Explains the band: “Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn’t make sense to anyone but us.”

Produced by Spaceman 3’s Pete Kember (a.k.a. Sonic Boom), Congratulations is MGMT’s experimental journey into psychedelia, giving a glimpse into their record collections, which clearly include Pink Floyd, the Zombies, T. Rex, the Kinks, and more. In SPIN’s eight-out-of-ten star review of Congratulations, music editor Charles Aaron writes that “the Brooklyn-based duo may have concocted the most playfully artful bad-trip pop album since the Monkees’ 1968 soundtrack Head,” and that the album “brims with mischievous energy.” (Read the full review here.)

Frontman Andrew Vanwyngarden recently spoke with SPIN.com about the new album and its major influences: surfing and psychedelic drugs, a fact supported by Congratulations‘ quirky cover art.

The stream arrives a week after MGMT premiered Congratulations live with a secret show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge. Missed the gig? Catch MGMT at Coachella, Sasquatch!, and Bamboozle this spring.
