There have been murmurings of a Hot Chip and Peter Gabriel cover of Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" for a while now, but the idea of it was so ludicrously enticing that we didn't dare let ourselves believe it was true.

Well, call it a (kinda weird but also wonderful) Christmas surprise: The track has surfaced, complete with Peter Gabriel singing his own name in the song's lyrics ("It feels so unnatural. Peter Gabriel, too") and adding, bemusedly: "It feels so unnatural to sing your own name..." We'll take your word for it PG.
