Double Grammy-winner Adele just released the first single off her February 22 album 21 -- and "Chasing Pavement" it ain't. On "Rolling in the Deep," the Brit crooner has grown into a hot-blooded soul sister with cigarette smoke and whiskey on her breath. Listen below.

The song is an attack on a former lover that builds from spare acoustic guitar to full piano, bass, and stomp-and-clap beat - with an all-girl gospel choir singing like they're out to get their cheating husbands: "There's a fire starting in my heart that's reaching a fever pitch / Finally I can see you crystal clear / Go ahead and sell me out / You had my heart and soul / Think of me in the depths of your despair."
