What? Known as "Cosmic Disco" or "Space Disco," the music of Lindstrom is categorized by a reverb-soaked, ethereal sound anchored by the dancey rhythms that gave the genre its name. While he is best known for his 2005 genre-defining smash "I Feel Space," Lindstrom has been an integral part of the niche scene since 2003. Despite countless 12-inch releases and remixes for the likes of LCD Soundsystem, the Killers, and Franz Ferdinand, Lindstrom has waited until now to drop his debut solo LP, Where You Go I Go Too. Don't be fooled by the brief, three-song tracklist when the album arrives Aug. 19 -- the record clocks in just short of an hour. With the title track pushing the 29-minute mark and the Prins Thomas-edited track, "Take the Long Way Home," eating up another 16, Lindstrom is aiming to take his listeners on a journey through majestic soundscapes that simultaneously mesmerize and amaze.

Who? Hailing from Oslo Norway, Hans-Peter Lindstrom has been at the forefront of the contemporary "Space Disco" movement since 2003 when he started his own Feedelity Recordings label to release his material after discovering no other label would distribute his work. In addition to his large solo catalog, Lindstrom has teamed with fellow countryman and recording artist Prins Thomas (Born: Thomas Moen Hermansen) to form a "Space Disco" super group of sorts. Dating back to 2004 the pair has collaborated on a large amount of material and plan to release their second full-length album this fall.

Fun Fact: Before discovering his love for electronic music, Lindstrom, who was raised on country and western music on the West Coast of Norway, gigged with an Elvis-inspired gospel choir and played the Hammond Organ in a Deep Purple tribute band.
