Rapper Lil Wayne’s sentencing has been delayed yet again, this time because of a fire in the New York courthouse where he was expected to be sentenced to one year in jail Tuesday morning on gun possession charges stemming from a 2007 arrest.

Wayne, 27, was originally scheduled to be sentenced last month, but that hearing was delayed for him to undergo dental surgery, including eight root canals.

According to The New York Times, a two-alarm fire broke out in the basement of the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse around 10:30 A.M. Tuesday. The blaze was put out within 45 minutes, but the building was evacuated due to smoke and closed for the remainder of the day.

At least eight people sustained minor injuries — five firefighters, two civilians, and one prisoner.

No announcement has been made about when Wayne’s sentencing will be rescheduled.
