Lil Wayne led the crowd at Sunday night’s (October 21) San Francisco Giants baseball game in a sing-along rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” The New Orleans rapper, who is reportedly friends with Giants second baseman Ryan Theriot, showed up on the field during the seventh innning stretch of Game 6 of the National League Champion Series to inspire some team spirit.

“It’s root, root, root for the Giants,” Wayne ingeniously ad-libbed at SF’s AT&T Park. “If they don’t win it’s a shame.”

Afterward, Weezy took to Twitter, writing, “Just sung ‘take me out to the ball game’ @ the Giants game!!! A true life highlight! I thank San Fran for rokkin wit me!” And the shoutout might have helped: the Giants later beat the St. Louis Cardinals in a 6-1 victory. Game 7 of the series airs tonight at 8 p.m.

This isn’t the rapper’s first foray into the sports world. Earlier this year, Wayne’s skater-focused sportswear line, Trukfit, expanded its distribution to Macy’s and just last month, Wayne opened his own skatepark, Trukstop, in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward.
