Lil Wayne ‘Baked’ Up Two New Collabos and One Dumb Tattoo

Lil Wayne Good Kush Party Anthem Drake Timbaland Face Tattoo

So that’s Lil Wayne’s new face tattoo — the one that says “BAKED” — consider yourself enlightened, thanks to LilWayneHQ. Despite our initial theories, the, ahem, loaded word is not a reference to Weezy’s unusual courtroom performance last September. Rather, it’s a clever (?) play on the logo of Baker Skateboards, arguably one of the rapper’s competitors since he’s entered the streetwear apparel game with his own Trukfit brand

As Wayne explained to HipHopDX in August, “I picked up the skateboard and I thought it would be a hobby, but it’s a lifestyle. You have to be fully committed. In order to be fully committed, you have to live that lifestyle. What these young kids say right now, you have to be about that life. I guess I’m about that life. It’s kinda putting rap on the backburner, that’s all … I think fans deserve some peace from me.”

Thankfully, the 30-year-old rap innovator is disturbing that peace with more than just juvenile marijuana puns. A pair of promising new collaborations have surfaced including one hailing from his upcoming tenth studio album, I Am Not a Human II, due February 19. “Good Kush and Alcohol (Bitches Love Me)” features guest vocals from downer dude croon-rappers Future and Drake, plus production from 2012 MVP beatsmith Mike WiLL Made It:

Wayne told MTV that Kanye West is designing his album art for this one. In direct contradiction to his earlier statement about skating, Weezy explained why he has no idea what Yeezy has planned: “I was just like, ‘Okay, do whatever,’ because I don’t do nothing but rapping. You can ask all the people that work with me, they’ll tell you, ‘Man, he don’t do nothin’ but the music,’ that’s all I do man. That’s all I know about.”

While the Young Money millionaire may seem confused about what he knows and which life he lives while speaking to journalists, his mad ramblings make perfect sense over Timbaland’s “The Party Anthem,” a bleakly bassy and clattering new track from Timbaland featuring a fiery verse from Missy Elliott and a growled-out hook from AutoTune guru T-Pain.
