Fresh off the release of their SPIN Essential seventh album Mess, experimental rock outfit Liars are back with a new video for lead single "Mess on a Mission." Aside from the three Los Angeles-based musicians, almost every bit of the glitchy Luis Cervéro-directed clip is CGI scenery — a bank robbery,  post-apocalyptic chaos, a Mayan temple, some yeti-looking bad guys. The trio is shown repeatedly walking backwards up a staircase holding a variety of objects, from weapons to food, as frontman Angus Andrew's repeated refrain of "facts are facts and fiction's fiction" adds to the trippy virtual reality. Check it out above and pick up Mess via Mute.
