Leonard Cohen is still wryly ruminating on mortality, aging, and withered love. The 78-year-old living legend debuted ghostly cabaret tune “I’ve Got a Little Secret” during a live performance at Dublin’s O2 Arena on September 12, and luckily a fan shot video footage. “I’ve got a little secret / You’ve got to promise not to tell,” Cohen sings in the clip above. “I made a little date in heaven / But I’ve been keeping it in hell.” He continues, supported by back-up singers and an organ player: “I’d like to love you, baby / But it just don’t feel right / I’ve got this full-length mirror / And it ain’t a pretty sight.”

The Old Ideas craftsman’s song may be new, but he appears to be working with some, well, old ideas. According to Rolling Stone, “I’ve Got a Little Secret” lifts lyrics from another unreleased Cohen track: “Feels So Good,” which he hasn’t played onstage since December 4, 2012. After eavesdropping on Cohen’s “Little Secret,” scroll down for his upcoming tour dates.
