"It was too strange and surreal of an idea to refuse," Carrie Brownstein told NPR of the new video from the former Sleater-Kinney guitarist's current band, Wild Flag. That goes for watching it, too: As Brownstein, drummer Janet Weiss, singer-guitarist Mary Timony, and keyboardist Rebecca Cole perform the super-charged indie rocker "Electric Band," from Wild Flag's wonderful self-titled debut album, they play baseball. In a Little League stadium. Lobbing water balloons. Against a team of people in bear costumes. As Major League Baseball celebrates its annual Fall Classic, Wild Flag help us hold onto those halcyon days of summer just a little bit longer.
