  • Lauryn Hill is pregnant with her sixth child, the Fugees singer revealed at a concert in Detroit on June 4. "I'm going to be taking time off to give birth," she told the crowd. "I keep having these children. I don't know if I'm the most fertile woman in America." The singer has five other kids with Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley. Hill is still scheduled to perform four dates at the traveling Rock the Bells Festival, which kicks off August 20 in San Bernardino, CA. [Los Angeles Times]

  • Kinks frontman Ray Davies tells the BBC he is in talks with Jack White to record music for a film adaptation of the British group's 1975 concept album Schoolboys in Disgrace, which is being developed by comic Bobcat Goldthwait. UPDATE: According to a rep for White, the singer-guitarist is not involved in the project. "White has great respect for the Kinks and the film's director, Bobcat Goldthwait, but has no plans to record any music for the film as erroneously reported." [BBC]
