Lana Del Rey is a woman who likes to keep a busy schedule. She’s already latched onto one soundtrack in 2014, contributing a haunting cover of of “Once Upon A Dream” to Maleficent early in the year, and released her second full-length album, the gauzy Ultraviolence, this summer. Now the Hollywood Reporter notes that the “West Coast” singer has apparently recorded two brand new tunes for Tim Burton’s upcoming film, Big Eyes, which hits theaters on December 25.

Del Rey’s contributions are titled “I Can Fly” (written along with “West Coast” co-writer/producer Rick Nowels), which plays over the end credits, and “Big Eyes,” which receives a prominent mid-film spot. The movie’s producer Larry Karaszewski told the Reporter:

Tim showed her the film and she fell in love with it…Women in particular seem to get the movie, and Lana really got the movie. The whole thing is about a woman who can’t find her voice…Lana’s song expresses what Margaret is feeling so perfectly, it’s like a soliloquy of her inner thoughts.

The movie’s production firm, the Weinstein Company, claims they haven’t made a choice of which of the two songs they’ll be pushing when it comes time for awards season. Last year Del Rey was widely expected to receive an Academy Award nomination for “Young and Beautiful,” her sweeping tune from The Great Gatsby, but didn’t make the cut. Maybe 2015 will be her year.
