London-based Klaxons' dance-rock, floor-filling single, "Atlantis to Interzone," off the Xan Valleys EP (out Oct. 10), has been given a slinky, space noise-infused remix. The band's Jamie Reynolds told SPIN.com the original track is an extended oxymoron, describing it as an "outdated future melancholic euphoria," and this paradoxical nature is traded in for a sparsely futuristic feel for its adaptation. The remix has less churning urgency and is more vulnerable, packed with raw electro-burbles and Reynold's breathy falsetto as he reflects on rising waters and wastelands.
