Since releasing their debut album Youth and Young Manhood in 2003, Kings of Leon have gone from being humble sons (and cousin) of a Pentecostal preacher to one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. Now, their rise from Nowhere, Tennessee, to festival headliners will be chronicled in the new documentary Talihina Sky: the Story of Kings of Leon, set to be screened at New York's Tribeca Film Festival this month.

Talihina Sky, directed by Stephen C. Mitchell, chronicles the Followill Brothers as they wrestle with ditching their strict religious upbringing for rock'n'roll. It's packed with never-before-seen footage of the Kings at home and on the road and features revealing interviews with the Followill's father Ivan Leon. Best moment: Ivan admitting he isn't too thrilled about his sons' career choice, before it cuts to footage of one of the brothers vomiting in a bush.

The documentary will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival as a work-in-progress and does not currently have a wider release date; the festival takes place in New York City from April 20-May 1.
