King Krule Lounges With a Dog in Chill ‘Neptune Estate’ Video

King Krule, "Neptune Estate," '6 Feet Beneath the Moon'

King Krule reveals a slightly different aspect of his sound in “Neptune Estate,” the latest song shared from the deep-voiced London downer’s upcoming 6 Feet Beneath the Moon (due out August 24 via True Panther and XL). The album’s “Easy Easy,” which received an amusingly dressed-up video last week, leans more toward brisk, trebly strums reminiscent of Billy Bragg. “Neptune Estate,” which arrives along with its own set of visuals, is smokier and more keyboard-based, wafting by like a dreamier moment from fellow Londoners Vondelpark. The video has a similarly casual, unhurried feel, featuring King Krule (aka Zoo Kid, aka 18-year-old Archy Marshall) puffing on a cigarette and petting a dog. If there’s such a thing as a Neptune state of mind, this track and clip could put you in it.
