  • The Kills released a video for their second Blood Pressures single "Future Starts Slow." The clip offers a revealing look at the two backstage and on the road, and even kicks off with Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince making lovey-dovey kisses before a gig.

  • Erykah Badu - superstar turntablist? The singer announced at a Los Angeles show on June 22 that she'll be releasing her first mixtape under the moniker DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown.   • Missy Elliott hasn't released an album since 2005's The Cookbook, and she reveals that she's been slowed down by the thyroid illness Grave's Disease. Elliott says she was first diagnosed in 2008 after experiencing mood swings, dizzy spells, and lumps in her throat. But she's feeling better after undergoing radiation and has since lost 30 pounds. Elliott will discuss her health battle on an episode of VH1's Behind the Music, which airs June 29. [People]

  • Odd Future's Hodgy Beats, Tyler, the Creator, and Frank Ocean will collaborate on a new track with Nas. The collective says the song is still in progress, but is near completion. "We're just waiting on a verse," says Hodgy Beats. "I'm just stoked to be on a song with [Nas]." In related news, Tyler is also teaming up with Clipse's Pusha-T for a cut titled "Trouble on My Mind," set to appear on Pusha's upcoming solo EP. [Pitchfork]

  • Mick Jagger's all-star group SuperHeavy - featuring composer A.R. Rahman, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, and Damian Marley - will release their debut album in September, with the first single called "Miracle Worker."
