As the Kills, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince usually crank out feedback-laced, drum machine-studded rock'n'roll, and they do it best when sweat-soaked on a small stage. But a new acoustic performance, posted on music blog Yourstru.ly, shows the duo at their most vulnerable, playing "Baby Says" off of Blood Pressures.

"We started playing in a little soundproof cupboard, and it was just the two of us, opposite each other," Hince says during the introduction. "It was like a sort of security blanket, Alison's eyes... The words just came out together."

The duo's U.S. tour kicks off Friday night in San Diego, and includes a Saturday stop at this weekend's Coachella festival in Indio, California. They got things rolling with a performance last night on Conan -- watch it here, as well.
