Brandon Flowers took a break from the studio to offer an update on the next Killers record. In an interview the BBC's Zane Lowe (via NME), the frontman says the group have laid down about four or five new tracks. "We've put them up on the board and they're sounding good," he says. "We think they're strong."

Kid Cudi has paid tribute to Kurt Cobain in a new video posted on his YouTube. In the clip, the rapper visits the park adjacent to the Seattle home where the Nirvana frontman killed himself in 1994.

Dirty Projectors have begun work on the follow-up to 2009's genre-busting LP Bitte Orca. On their Facebook page, the art-rockers write that frontman Dave Longstreth has been writing material since January, and the group will hit the studio this summer. "So excited for the next chapter," they write.

Agit-punk rockers Rise Against have dropped a new video for the track "Make It Stop," which they filmed to support the It Gets Better Project, the organization that raises awareness for acceptance of gay youth. Check it out below.

Brazilian dance-rockers CSS have teamed up with Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie for a hot new track "Hits Me Like a Rock," which finds the crew trading in their wild dance-rock sound for mellow, new wave-y flavors reminiscent of Blondie's classic "The Tide Is High." Download it here.

Washed Out's Ernest Greene has released another track from his first full-length album Within and Without. Check out the gorgeous, sprawling tune "Amor Fati" below (via Consequence of Sound).

Lollapalooza has announced a line-up of after parties for this year's fest, which wraps up each night at 10 P.M. due to city noise ordinances. Death From Above 1979, Cold War Kids, Two Door Cinema Club, Lykke Li, and dozens others have all scheduled gigs around the city's venues. Check out the full schedule here.
