Brandon Flowers took a break from the studio to offer an update on the next Killers record. In an interview the BBC's Zane Lowe (via NME), the frontman says the group have laid down about four or five new tracks. "We've put them up on the board and they're sounding good," he says. "We think they're strong."
Kid Cudi has paid tribute to Kurt Cobain in a new video posted on his YouTube. In the clip, the rapper visits the park adjacent to the Seattle home where the Nirvana frontman killed himself in 1994.
Dirty Projectors have begun work on the follow-up to 2009's genre-busting LP Bitte Orca. On their Facebook page, the art-rockers write that frontman Dave Longstreth has been writing material since January, and the group will hit the studio this summer. "So excited for the next chapter," they write.

Lollapalooza has announced a line-up of after parties for this year's fest, which wraps up each night at 10 P.M. due to city noise ordinances.
